Season 23, Week 4
KOS-MOS
(Xenosaga Series)

Target after target has been eliminated by Vector's secret weapon this season, but up-and-comer Zeno will be the first to put up a real fight. The swift swordswoman from Sheldar has crushed some impressive opponents thus far, but where they have failed, KOS-MOS will triumph. With Ether Limit enhancing the already awe-inspiring might of X-Buster or F-Scythe, the killer android will be looking to end this fight in a single blow before Zeno's Last Resort can come into play. All she needs to do beforehand is weather a few of Zeno's blows, and KOS-MOS is designed to do just that.

It's been a parade of female opponents for the swordmaster of Sheldar, but this suits her just fine. After all, both Jean and Saki crumpled beneath the might of the Violet Blade just as easily as Nina and Lin did. This latest woman is made of metal and nanomachines, rather than flesh and blood, but it makes little difference. Zeno is immune to any of her foe's attempts to lower her speed, already her greatest advantage over the sluggish combat android. This leaves her foe with no way to stop the captain's deadly onslaught or to survive the armour-piercing critical blows of Violet Death.

The arena was lined with massive turrets.

The stands were filled with armed guards.

Godlikes had been conscripted to guard the two fighters.

None of this would really have saved Zeno and KOS-MOS, but it was worth a try.

However, KOS-MOS and Zeno successfully managed to have a normal match.

No whipped cream. No maple syrup waterfalls. No clothes disintigrating mists or giant clothes mangling robots or tentacle beasts.

How was this possible? Had all the perverts in the league been killed? Jailed?

No, that wouldn't have stopped them.

Nope, it was just a simple matter of Zeno talking Jeane into wandering around the hallways in a slightly scantier than usual outfit for a few hours before, during and after the match.

Zeno may have lost the battle-KOS-MOS turned out to simply be too much for her. In a long and gruelling fight, she was eventually defeated.

But in a way, she's won the war.

She owes Jeane one, though.

...Oh, the perverts? Jeane turned out to be a good illusionist-it wasn't actually her walking the hallways.

Eventually, "Jeane" wandered into her bedroom, and proceeded to take off all her clothes.

Then the tentacles started waving.

Needless to say, that trick won't work twice.

But now Jeane now gets stalked far less(Which is to say, as much as she's used to, rather than several dozen people a day.), so overall, Jeane's probably the big winner here.
