Season 22, Week 5
Myria
(Breath of Fire Series)

Myria proved last week the extent of her power, as she toppled the seemingly invincible Magic Emperor. Now, she has one final challenge before she once again holds up the mantle of Godlike champion. Her foe has never had much luck against powerful women before, so why should this week be any different? Myria can blast Seymour's weakness with the Blizzard spell, or just use her powerful Mjollnir, or overwhelm the summoner with a speedy assault of Big Crash. Either way, Seymour simply lacks the raw magic durability to survive the onslaught, and Myria's huge advantages in speed and endurance will all but bring the title home.

Hmmph. These foolish amateurs have been no match for Seymour Guado's powers. A Seraph, a Contact, a master swordsman... all obliterated. It doesn't matter who meets Seymour in battle, they all get turned into -ash- by his devastating Firaga spell chain. A goddess of near limitless power isn't much above what Seymour's faced before, and certainly not anything that could stop him. Extreme defenses are more than enough to shut down Myria's attacks. So is the raw power of this dedicated summoner. He shall not be stopped. Not now. Not -ever-.

Myria smashes Seymour right in all of his weaknesses, just like she smashed me after four hours of monotonous fighting with underleveled characters and finally emerging victorious because I ran out of items, MP, and finally HP... Sorry, was my bitter showing?

Myria: 47
Seymour: 25

Things seem pretty hopeless for Seymour, don't they? Yuna's still avoiding him, people are out to kill him just because he's already dead, and Myria lies between him and a long-deserved Godlike Championship. He can't even ask his father for advice in classic Disney feel-good fashion, since of course his father is dead and Sent. What's a priest to do?
He goes to see the Pope, of course. Then again, the DL is a bit short on Popes, and those that there are, like Zera, manage to be crazier than Seymour.
So, you have to one-up the Pope, meaning God (Goddess, Creator, Buddah, whatever your particular religious inclination dictates). Hey, the DL even has plenty of those.
Of course, they're scared stiff of Myria too. So they can't be obvious in helping Seymour.
Ultimately, as Gods, Goddesses, etcetera often do, they aided Seymour via their faithful. Now, how something like Alex hitting Myria with the power of the Red Dragon, or a stray Bonebreak, and so on were mistaken as Seymour attacking will never be certain.
What's less certain is how Seymour will get out of this victory without some crushing defeat down the road at the hands of one rather pissed of little girl/hydra thing/deity...
