Season 3, Week 1
Orlandu, Cidolfas
(Final Fantasy Tactics)

Orlandu has run into his exact weakness in the first round. His first obstacle is that his opponent can be immune to Melee, but he does have range and infinite vertical tolerance, he can probably work his way around that. His second problem is that he's facing a high HP boss with status. His best chance here is to go on an all out blitz and pray that status doesn't kick in soon enough.

The Perfect SOLIDER, the One-Winged Angel... Sephiroth's had more than his share of labels over his illustrous career, few of them accurate. The unstable and rebellious member of SOLDIER turned multi-winged angel has his sights on a new label now, though... RPGDL Godlike champion! Orlandu's certainly no soft first-round draw for anyone seeking this label... but Sephiroth should nevertheless be able to make short work of the Ivalician. His Super Nova, despite an aeon-long animation sequence, is devastating, inflicting Critical, Charm, and Slow with 100% accuracy. And Pale Horse may be even worse, as it can turn even the hardiest of warriors into a Minied Frog. Orlandu, simply put, is statused out. No amount of storebought status protection can save Orlandu here. Though, even it it did, the poster-boy of silver-haired bishounen villains in RPGs could easily win a damage duel with Wall to reduce Orlandu's offence by 50%, and Shadow Flare, which strikes PCs (which Orlandu, however Godlike he may be, clearly is) down in a single blow.

Long has it been a source of debate on how exactly Orlandu would dress when fighting in a battle such as this. He decided to take the easy way out this time, and wear nothing but his sword.

While Sephiroth looked a little queasy at the sight of that, that stratagem didn't work. You see, while Orlandu did the equivalent of poisoning and inflicting sadness on Sephy, Sephy didn't have to worry about anything getting in the way of a Pale Horse.
