Season 22, Week 1
Ghaleon
(Lunar Series)

Three-time Godlike champion, Magic Emperor and highest-rated fighter in the RPGDL. Ghaleon alone holds these titles, and the reigning champion is ready to add a fourth Godlike title to his belt. Of course, when you've been around the DL as much as Ghaleon has, things tend to become more routine, as he is once again pitted against an opponent he slew many seasons back, a result he will easily repeat. Necrosaro's lack of agility is something evolution has yet to correct, and Ghaleon can easily capitalize by letting Chaos Shield absorb any scratches and breaths of hot air the 'master' of evolution might throw at him. Laughing off such pitiful parlor tricks, the Magic Emperor can then dispense with the Rock 'N Roll, jammin' out a new victory tune for his 2nd victory over Darwin.

While Necrosaro may not be as highly decorated as his opponent this week, he is by no means an inferior fighter. Ghaleon only narrowly won the last time the two fought, and Necrosaro intends for that to be a mere record of the past. With his ability to double-act, Necrosaro can match the Magic Emperor in raw offensive power with his defense ignoring Breaths. Unlike Ghaleon, however, Necrosaro also has a wide variety of utility spells. Bounce will force Ghaleon to use nothing but physical attacks, which Necrosaro will laugh at thanks to his defense, and Freezing Rays can dispel his opponent's Chaos Shield should the need arise. With a little strategy mixed with raw offense, Necrosaro can stop the Magic Emperor in his tracks and advance to the next round.

Dark Holy Elf
Ghaleon and Necrosaro are very alike. Both are often argued as sympathetic villains. Both are final bosses. Both are noted for doublecasting. Both have strong elemental attacks and underrated physical games.

The difference? Despite being an effeminate elf-man, Ghaleon can take more punishment than Zidane caught spying in the Godlike women's locker rooms. The man eats Doubled Vigoured Swords Dances for breakfast, and that's before Chaos Shield. Necrosaro, with his paltry 1000 HP in his one really competent form, just can't compete. Only a few can outlast the Magic Emperor, and sadly, Necrosaro isn't the man to do it.

Ghaleon: 38
Necrosaro: 15

CmdrKing
Silver hair, mass tankiness, friendship with outcast races, angsting about losing your women... if they weren't so self-centered and arrogant, Ghaleon and Necrosaro could become fast friends and form a rather vast mutual empire. Instead, Ghaleon goes Magic Emperor on everyone in the vicinity, leaving nothing recognizable as alive in the aftermath. Ah well.
