Season 21, Week 3
White Wizard
(Final Fantasy)

A gentle touch and a smile is the motto of the White Wizard, and even something that simple is certainly going to go over the foolish head of this week's victim, one Kahn. Ruse will reduce Kahn's already laughable offense to the point where it can't so much as scratch even this gentle Wizard. Once the fight gets that absurd, even White Wizard's reserves of healing - along with Holy's damage to back it up - are just the icing on the cake. Chipping slowly and building immortal defenses is how any healer should sustain themselves against a pathetic fool who seeks to smite their opponent with flashy but practically worthless moves.

It would be difficult to find two Lights more different than Kahn and White Wizard. Kahn's foe is known for slowly building herself up, healing, and winning very slowly. Kahn has very little variety, trading options and HP for speed and power, both of which his foe lacks. Unfortunately for Kahn's character-less foe, however, his style of fighting completely trumps hers; his quick, powerful hits will easily overpower White Wizard before she's had a chance to get her buffing game started. A single focused punch is more than enough to knock the fragile cleric out, and there's nothing White Wizard can do in her one turn to stop that!

White Wizards, as a rule, aren't known for being brilliant characters or especially good at dealing with strong fighters.

What they are good at is shutting people up. One mute spell, and Kahn's Shout attack, used to such effect, is worthless here. WW then beats the hell out of the worthless scrub with her hammer, and everyone goes home happy.
