Season 21, Week 2
Citan Uzuki (Hyuga Ricdeau)
(Xenogears)

He's had to cut The Good Spy short to participate in this season, so a first-round loss is not anywhere in the good doctor's plans. He has much in common with his opponent, despite appearances. Both are highly intelligent psychics, capable of manipulating things and events to their liking, and both are among the stronger duellers of their respective casts. Of course, they'll have to set similarities aside to battle it out. Citan's speed will be an asset here, as well as his skills with the blade. His healing, finally, may just give him the stamina edge he needs to pull this fight out.

The psychic kitty returns to the DL ready as ever to show the might of his mind, and his newest opponent should provide a great warm-up. Mewtwo may only have the speed edge over Citan for the first turn, but that's all he needs: a casting of Barrier and even the fast, deadly slashes of Crystal Water will barely faze the kitty, giving him the time to buff his psychic powers and heal until a single Psychic takes the good doctor out of the picture. Very few things can stop the finesse of a sharply honed blade - but Mewtwo just happens to be one of them.

The good doctor had a hard battle ahead of himself. His calculations, his reflections and ponderings over Mewtwo all led to the same conclusion: as it was, Citan could not defeat the almighty cat. Not even his swordsmanship would be able to cut through Mewtwo's psychic powers, and he'd need something else to win.

Which led him to Anastasia Valeria.

The solemn Sword Magess defeated Mewtwo in the past, and should certainly know a thing or two in order to stop the menace of the kitty. Citan and Anastasia stayed the entire night before the match awake, discussing, planning and finally executing one that should prove a master plan.

In the day of the match, Mewtwo was impatient: Citan was uncharacteristically late to the battle. "[The doctor is wasting my time. I shouldn't wait even one more minute in this....]".... and soon, the kitty knew why was Citan late.

As he went up the arena, Citan begrudgingly raised his sword into the air. Giving a sight to the whole of his body. The good doctor was crammed into Anastasia's attire, wearing a long blue wig and followed by a puppet dog who very vaguely resembled Lucied. The clothes looked like something arranged at last minute for a small-time cosplay expo. That was an spectacle of indignity for anyone, really. Especially for Citan.

Mewtwo's eyes slowly began filling with rage and madness. He would never forget the shame that losing to Anastasia (or "that unworthy sword girl", in his most polite) brought him. He twitched once. He twitched twice. He...

"Impulse!"

Suddenly, Mewtwo realized he was knocked off the arena. Citan looked at him haplessly, borderline disbelieving.

And then, all that Mewtwo saw was a red curtain under his eyes.

The spectators still remember what happened afterwards as something truly horrendous. That they never knew a body could bend that far into itself with only the power of the mind, or that psychokinetic waves shouldn't be able to rip bodies in half - or even that they were able to stuff someone's head far into his/her ass. Mewtwo wrecked the good doctor badly enough that it's still questionable whether the DL Nursing Squad will be able to patch him up to the minimal conditions neccessary in order to attend his next match.

But hey, Citan still won the match, so the rest doesn't matter, right? Dressing up like an awkward tranny and getting ripped up by a godlike cat in the meantime are minor setbacks!

... or maybe not.

Ah, Citan. The good doctor is quite a dueler, indeed. Good durability, gamebest Speed after Senkai, great damage... few fighters can match his sheer power once he gets his game going.

It's just too bad that Mewtwo, while taking a longer time to get to his peak, completely outclasses Citan at his own game. His natural Speed makes sure that Citan's doubleturns are infrequent, if they happen at all, Barrier makes Crystal Water little more than a pinprick, Recover only aggrivates Doctor Uzuki more, and nothing can withstand a Psychic after Mewtwo gets his Amnesia game going. Try as he might, Citan has lost this fight before it even starts. Better luck next draw.

Captain K.
Citan has higher stats than the rest of his cast. Mewtwo has *much* higher stats than the rest of his cast.

Unfortunatly for Citan, Mewtwo is not in the friendiest of moods. The battle proved rather easy for Mewtwo, a barrier as soon as she could move and then alternating between physic and recover (when needed). Psychic does damage of course, but also has the additional effect of being able to lower the opponent's ability to not only use magical and mind-based attacks, but also to defend against them. Every few rounds, Mewtwo does considerably more damage, and Citan's ability to heal is decreased until finally, he can't keep up with the damage and falls to Mewtwo.

I think Citan can beat Mewtwo, since Mewtwo doesnt have that good of defense, its his magic defence that is godly.
