Season 20, Week 4
Robo
(Chrono Trigger)

Do robots have nightmares of electric dragons? If so, then Robo’s about to confront them head on in the arena! Make no mistake, Tiamat is indeed a nightmare of a fight, possessing the massive defenses and elemental resistance needed to dampen any offense Robo can mount. However, there’s still hope. Tiamat’s offenses are themselves relatively ineffective against Robo’s armored exterior, and his awesome Cure Beam will provide him the longevity required to keep at this match of attrition far longer than his foe. It will be a long and gruelling battle, but Robo’s never let prolonged physical labor bother him before.

It's looking like no one can slay this legendary dragon; a brave Holy Knight and the fearless leader of the Elements have both tried and failed. Will a puny robot fare any better? Probably not. Tiamat is like most legendary dragons: covered in hard scales that not even the mightiest of swords can penetrate, and greatly resistant to all worldly magicks. While Robo might be more than meets the eye, not even his fusion-powered fists and lasers will be able to scratch the Fiend of Wind. A couple Thunderstorms should fry Robo's circuits in short order, leading the Fiend to a spot in the Middle finals, and a place in DL history.

Ah, Robo and Tiamat, robot against dragon, truly the epitome of the struggle between science and magic. Can there be a battle more epic?

Quite a lot, actually. See, while Tiamat comes from a fantasy world, she also lords over the technologically advanced Floating Castle and has countless mechs guarding her lair. Thus, she is very knowledgable in the ways of the machine, and knows how to exploit their weaknesses.

When the day of the match arrived, Tiamat flew into the ring wielding weapons that made every robot in the arena blanche in terror*.

Power Saws!

Power Drills!

Blowtorches!

Screwdrivers!

And of course, the ever classic can-opener!

And so ended one of the shortest matches in the history of the DL, as Robo ran very fast and very far from the grinning Fiend the moment the bell was rung.

---

* Well, they didn't due to the general lack of blood and organs to blanch with, but that didn't stop them from trying.

Robo: 29
Tiamat: 51

Poor Robo... I'm pretty sure his armor, no matter how tough it is, is not that effective against stomach acid, and Tiamat has a big mouth.

Adumbro Deus
Tiamat would chomp Robo up and spit him out unless he were some obscenely high level, which I doubt.

RadLink5
Robo has NO magic defense. As such Timat should win with very little effort and a few Thunderstorms.
