Season 18, Week 5
Sephiroth
(Final Fantasy VII)

The Perfect SOLDIER has marched far this season. Under his black boot are three worthy foes, and even the master of the elements could not stop him. Now that this grand feat is accomplished, only one more foe remains; Virgil, the man in blue, opposes Sephiroth in his bid for a title. Powerful attacks will fly, but Virgil's will be halved by the potent Wall spell, and the brutal Shadow Flare will ignore Virgil's own defenses. This is the simple formula that Sephiroth has used to secure all his victories this season, and it will be no less successful here.

Virgil, a Realian abuser second only to the great Albedo himself, now stands ready to claim his rightful place on the Godlike throne. While Sephiroth is a former Champion, Virgil is not easily scared; both can fly, and Virgil is just as quick and agile as the one-winged angel. Virgil's large array of powerful Ethers will easily break down even the mighty Sephiroth's intimidating Wall, and Supernova is no match for the addict's Ethereal Storm. With a quick sweep, Virgil will be on his way to becoming the second Xenosaga champ in the DL's history.

Earth scorched to charcoal black, ring reduced to mere dust, the very air warped from heat...

Such was the battlefield of Sephiroth and Virgil, as was fitting for two Godlike bosses battling for the right to be crowned champion.

Two currently tired Godlike bosses to be more specific, seeing how both had used up almost all of their resources showing off one spectacular display of power after another. Flinging spells that rival the best works of Industrial Light and Magic didn't come cheap, after all.

"...I'm impressed that you were able to weather all those blows, puppet." The one-winged angel said while panting, favoring his left leg while clutching his sword arm.

"You're not... so bad, yourself pretty boy." The addict responded with much effort. The side of his face now sported more scars than usual, not to mention a generous amount of blood.

"One blow to decide this match?" The perfect SOLDIER suggested as he began gathering eldritch energies within his hand

"Heh. If you have any strength left in you." The former marine chuckled out as strong winds blew his tattered robe to and fro.

"Shadow-" "Eternal-"

"HOLY CRAP! IS THAT ROSA AND ELC MAKING OUT IN THE BALCONY?"

And with those words, all eyes in the arena moved towards said balcony, immediately forgetting all about the match for something they will most likely regret after a few moments.

"-Flare!"

Well, almost all eyes.

Taking great care not to aggravate his wounds too much, Sephy walked over to Virgil's crumpled body and kicked it a few times to make sure that he's down.

Only then did he glance out at the drunken couple making out on the balcony, totally oblivious to the papparazi's camera's.

"Please..." he snorted. "That is absolutely nothing compared to some of Hojo's cross-breeding experiments."
