Season 18, Week 2
Ness
(Earthbound)

After a fairly short absence from the DL, the strongest psychic kid in the world makes a triumphant return to the arena, prepared for a hard battle with his latest opponent. Ness' healing and endurance will be put to the test against Rashidi's terrifying dark magic and parasitic healing, but it's nothing for he who defeated the mighty Giygas. Rashidi's attacks might be flashy, but Ness still has a huge durability advantage, and this fight is just a matter of who lasts the longest. Few can outslug Onett's prodigal psychic, and Rashidi should be no exception.

Ness being a child makes no difference to the merciless Wiseman. Rashidi will kill anyone in his way, and the gutsy child from Onett isn't different. Ness is insanely durable, and, while he can weaken Rashidi's parastic healing, it costs him a precious turn. Even one of the most durable in godlike can't last two turns against Rashidi's blistering spells. Ness's damage isn't enough to even make Rashidi lose his smirk, leaving the child with no option to bow and let Rashidi move on to once against crush the godlike division.

Rashidi recevied some very odd looks, as he entered the DL arena. Instead of his usual mageling robes, he was wearing a suit of heavy grey looking armor. Rashidi saw his young foe from Onett, and wasted no time in firing out a Thunder Flare spell. Ness wasn't hurt too badly, but looked annoyed at the sudden attack.

"Boy, that's just a taste of my powers. Retreat now, and you won't know the true pain that comes when you cross the Wiseman."

Ness just glared at the talkative old man, and charged. His Bat stood swinging in the air, and he cracked Rashidi right across the chest, in what looked to be an incredibly painful blow.

The armor deflected the blow, and sent Ness flying into the air. Quickly taking advantage of the situation, Rashidi fired off a quick Wind Shot spell, knocking poor Ness clear out of the arena.

"Mmph. Fool. Trying to hit my cement breastplate with a bat.." Chuckling, Rashidi dropped the bulky armor in Ness's corner, as a painful reminder to the child about who he should and shouldn't pick fights with.
