Season 18, Week 1
Decus
(Star Ocean: The Second Story)

One of the Ten Wise Men and twisted master of flames, Decus burns with inner rage and cursed power. His flames are hot enough to melt even his own flesh off, let alone the others it touches. His goal is simple: turn the young woman in front of him into ash to satisfy his rage. A few castings of Explosion both cause intense pain and hit Lin's terrible magic defense, giving him all the more reason to use the spell. Even if the Woren resists his raging powers, it doesn't give her enough time to make a dent against the Wise Man before she, like all others, is consumed by Decus's eternal flames.

With the other residents of Deep Earth waiting in the wings just for a chance to be ranked, Lin has a very heavy weight resting on her delicate shoulders. Should she do well enough in her battle with Decus, it's very likely the rest of her cast-mates will see the surface of the DL proper! So Lin will be giving it her all in this fight: getting a powerful flame-proof armour will be her first priority, and a fusion-powered water-pistol her second. With these in hand, Lin has it made: no flame will singeher, while a couple squirts from her water gun will douse the flamer before you can say "burned".

"Its So Hot I'm going to die!" Decus shouted as he used Spicule on Lin, crushing her in his flames...only for her to stand there living.

"Phew, good thing I took Ryu's advice and wore my fire resistant garb"

Decus stared at her. He could tell she was hurt, so he knew he was at least getting SOMEWHERE, so he decided to try the same thing again...

As he was coming down

"NOW!" Lin shouted, and what came out of the sky wasn't Decus on fire...but a Decus incased in Ice.

"Look, I know you can fry things, but I'll be damned if I let you do that to me, even if it must cost me the match." Lin said, as she looked towards the stand where Nina, Cupid, and Hortensia all were sitting having seemingly all cast an Ice spell. Lin left the match, knowing she lost via cheating, but she didn't care; all that mattered was that she wasn't dead.

Decus: 29
Lin: 20

Stupid Finals ruining my ability to write. Just pretend I wrote a 10 page victory for one of my favorite cat-girls, as Lin is just that awesome.
