As the first Pokemon evolutionary species on the entire list, Venusaur returns for another triumphant...oh screw the drama, we all know who the heck he is. Venusaur goes up against the good Doctor Shaia, and what's he gonna do? Hurl Sleep Powders, some Razor Leafs, maybe a Frenzy Plant at low health which his opponent may have problems dodging, a Synthesis here and there, possibly use Growth to get around his opponents healing. The point is, Venusaur has options and plenty of them and is in a good position to win this fight!

As an accomplished scientist, Lexis might normally view something like Venusaur as more of a test subject than an opponent! Nevertheless, he'll entering the match with his all engines roaring! Spells like Blizzard and Firebal will quickly rip through Venusaur's durability thanks to it's elemental weaknesses, and Lexis has a host of powerful I.P.s if Venusaur hopes to outslug him. Throw in his excellent speed and a wealth of fulling healing and Lexis should have few figures emerging victorious and primed to deal with his next foe!
