Season 58, Week 3
Ted
(Suikoden IV)

Fate has dealt Ted a bitter hand when the Soul Eater Rune took refuge upon Ted's very own body. The very power that governs life and death, but as far as Ted is concerned it has governed death far more than it has given life. This week it will be no different, and the fate of his opponent is grimly sealed. The martial artist facing Ted may try anything he so likes, but there is little he can do to stop the Soul Eater from rendering Judgment upon his soul and wresting all life from his body. And once more, the wandering archer will have the weight of another life taken chaining down his happiness. Such is life in the Dueling League. At least they can revive the people here, but... still. Sigh.

A quickdraw match, is it? Ted's in for a double helping of disappointment if he thinks he can beat Citan Uzuki, the original Godlike speed demon, to the punch. Even before his signature Senkei spell, Citan could run circles around Ted with little effort, so it won't be a problem to get in the first strike and cripple his opponent before he can even move. Crystal Water packs a hell of a whallop, and Ted isn't exactly known for being durable, so one shot may be all it takes. And if not, Citan just has to hold out against a single spell to finish the job. This is all for Ted's own good, of course. He seems a troubled young man, so the good doctor recommends a very nice long vacation in the medical ward.
