There's plenty of old faces returning to the ring, but also many brand new fighters you've never seen before! So, enough aimless chatter: let's get on with the show! With Season Twelve finished up, head on over to the Arena and check out the beginnings of Season Thirteen! In Godlike, Season Twelve Godlike champion Myria makes a return to the ring to defend her title against a former upgraded Heavy champion: can she resist the new invasion of Chrono Cross? In Heavy, Hector, mighty lord of Ostia, marks the first appearance for Fire Emblem in the RPGDL - will he be able to stake his opponent, and cleave a path to the quarterfinals? In Middle, esper Rune Walsh returns, ready to pit magic against science for a shot at moving up to a more suitable division. And in Light, the stirrings of a new Chrono Cross become more apparent, as the legendary hero Pierre prepares to take on the dastardly Vinsfeld Radamanthus to preserve the honour and glory of Light! But don't think that's all there is, dear readers - we've only scratched the surface of what Season Thirteen has to offer! What hole did you crawl out of this morning? You look worse than usual. I got a little distracted last night. I just bought the new Auron the Vampire Slayer DVD collection, and watched it all last night, and into the morning. …you watched that? How was it? Surprisingly good. Auron plays the part of a high school student from Ivalice, intent on leading a normal life, until his watcher, played by Gogen, pulls him out of his normal life to take up his destiny as the legendary vampire slayer. Accompanied by his friends played by Lucca and Lutz, he fights evil by night, while trying to live a normal high school student’s life by day! It’s so well-done! I see a new addiction coming on. Addiction? I’ve never had any addiction! What about that obsession you had with pi when you were younger? Pi? Chisato was obsessed with geometry? No, I think he meant “pie” Ah, that would make more sense – after all, you can’t get fat on radii and diameters, now can you? Will the fat jokes ever cease? I doubt it. I see then…. …hey, she’s got one of those evil grins on her face agaaaaaaaaiiiiiiinnnnnnnnnnnnnn!!! It looks like launching people out of the studio has become popular again. Who knew? I did. It’s the first week of Season Thirteen here, and we’re ready to give you a quick look at some of this season’s premier fighters! So, let’s start by bringing out… Er…what’s wrong? I think she finally took a look at the roster. You know, the predicted second coming of the Chrono Cross invasion? Yes! We shall not be overlooked! Our power is supreme! I, the mighty Godlike Dario, shall lead my beleaguered comrades to victory! Oh give it up. Indeed! You and that damn fool Menardi stole your titles! Yeah! I bet I could even take you down! You? Beat someone in a fair fight? …. Bwhahahahahahahaha! That’s a good one. Grah! This isn’t the way to treat leader of the finest squad of terrorists in the world! I demand penance! Penance? You mean that uber-boss from Final Fantasy Ten International? I think we have him sitting… …right there! Right whereeeeeeeeeeeee! Er…you think he stands a chance? Nope. None at all. Now, what about the rest of these scrubs? You mean the remaining Chrono Cross characters? Feed ‘em to Ard. Ard! Woah…not cool dude! Mmmm…Fresh ground hamburger. I sense a cookout. Sounds like a good idea: Fresh Chrono Cross burgers, anyone? And look on the bright side: there’s no mean on their bones, so it stays within the parameters of your diet. Well, I suppose it does.
