Unfortunately, I hate to interrupt your regularly scheduled RPGDL Finals week but I'm afraid it's necessary.

For those of you who don't know me from the forums, I'm superaielman, one of the administrators of the RPGDL. We've uncovered another attempt at cheating this week, with one person attempting to vote over a dozen times. This type of behavior is not acceptable. While the DL accepts and welcomes every single voter, cheating never has or will be tolerated. The duplicate votes were removed from the system. As always, you can count on the admins here to prevent any and all forms of cheating from occurring.

You're welcome to bring new voters to the site or argue on the board however you wish, but only one vote per person. Any repeated attempts at widespread cheating will lead to having your account terminated and being banned from the site. So please vote and argue, but don't attempt to vote stuff.

Thanks for reading, and now onto the action! We have a bit of a change this week, as our new host Kazan replaces Morrie as host of the Intro. Check it out!

I, Kazan, bid you welcome to the RPG Dueling League, dedicated to the art of pitting the greatest warriors of the RPG Multiverse against each other in honourable combat! Within lies the greatest showcase of fighting talent you will ever lay your eyes upon!

In addition, there's another small tournament called Not Ranked, which pits an even wider assortment of unique, secretive and unknown warriors against each other in a similar vein. If you're looking for a favourite, it wouldn't hurt to check that out as well.

The DL is more than answering the question of how fighters stack up. It's a repository of information about RPG's varying from the obscure to the well known. You've done a good job paying attention, students. Now here's Chisato to take you Behind the Scenes!
Well, another finals week comes with no championships on the line for the BtS crew.
Considering that this season it would have been ODIN getting the shot at it, I'm just fine with that.
Just think about it though. We could have rubbed it in Chisato and Nate's faces so hard if Odin got a title before them, but not before us.
...you know, you have a point there.
Do I hear the sounds of plotting going on in my studio? And without me doing it?
No ma'am, must be your imagination. Just mocking Odin for not being in the finals.
Ah, carry on then. Hmm, speaking of moppy, where is he anyway?
Oh, he grabbed Morte and ran off earlier. Something about a master plan and having his vengeance.
We could have stopped him, sure. But we could also get the show going while the two screw-ups are off somewhere where they aren't our problem.
A wise decision. Alright, let's get on with it then. Ultros, send in the Lights.
Aye aye!
Hello Chisato, good to be back.
Um, Mr. Octopus? Talk like a pirate day was last month.
Hazards of being a talking sea creature. Sometimes the sailor talk just slips out.
Uh huh. Your sailor talk better be limited to 'aye-ayes' and 'avast ye hearties'. Children watch this show after all.
And how exactly is the occasional four letter word worse then the horrible, bloody violence we show all the time?
Well that's different. Violence is a perfectly fine thing for children to see. Just no cursing and nothing suggestive.
Ladies and gentlemen, RPG parenting logic.
Why do people like violence so much anyway? Isn't getting along and being friends with everybody so much more fun?
You're asking us why people who frequent a dueling league like violence? Are you really that dense?
Ultros? Viki.
Huh?
Right, silly me. So, back to the Light with half a brain, how do you plan on beating Viki for the championship, Miranda?
I'll keep it simple. Just outfight or outwit her. It's Viki, so this shouldn't be hard. I won't go easy on her though, I do so want that championship on my first try.
That's one way to do it, sure. Viki, your arguments?
Blinking Rune. Poof.
Sure, if it works.
Works more often then it doesn't.
Well, thanks for your comments, both of you. Now get out of my studio.
I'll get the Middles then. Silmeria and Wiegraf, come on down!
Greetings.
Gilgamesh, Ultros. Good to see you again.
Hey Wieg. You missed the last Recurring Boss Club meeting.
I figured training to get us another championship was more important then attending a meeting.
You seem quite confident for a mere mortal in the face of a goddess.
A mere...mortal? Me? You really haven't done your research, have you?
Heh, this one's gonna be good. Anyway, Wiegraf, any thoughts on the upcoming PSP port of Final Fantasy Tactics? I hear that's coming out any day now.
Oh, I'm very much looking forward to it. With all this new content, I can just imagine how many new and interesting ways there are for me to have Ramza die. Over and over and over.
Think you'll make it past Riovanes this time?
Oh probably not. The boss there is very difficult you know. Quite the terror.
You disgust me.
That just means he's doing his job.
Alright, I'm having someone less biased take over this interview. Like me.
You? Less biased?
Of course. I hate you both equally. Now, Silmeria, any thoughts on the match? And keep it on topic, or else.
I'll keep my distance so his precious counters are useless, and then take him down fast with an arrow barrage. Whatever power he has, it cannot compare to that of a valkyrie.
Ah, the 'fight from range' tactic. That worked so well for Chester. And Jade. And Maya...
Alright, how about you, noseless? What are your big plans for the fight?
Keep up the pressure with Holy Sword skills, outslug her, win. If I manage to land a status on her, that's just icing on the cake.
Hmph, as if such a simplistic plan could defeat me. I'll have you know that...
You know what? I've had enough of both of you. NEXT!
Hey, I wasn't finished yet!
What's that, you want to be finished? I can help with that.
Um...okayyouknowwhatIthinkIhearLennethcallingmebyebye!
Nice entrance. But Heavy is next.
Bah, they can either let me go first, or I'll kill them both and then take their turn anyway.
Now that's an attitude I can respect. Just don't get any ideas about threatening me, carrot top.
Hmm, is it time for Godlike now?
Of course not, I'm just out here to take in the sights.
Really? Not much to see out here. Though I suppose one red headed simpleton would be interested in another.
Alright, that's enough out of you! Come here!
What's that, am I being threatened by a Light? Oh, I'm so afra...GAAAAH I CAN'T FEEL MY LEGS!
Huh, that looks painful. Hey six-arms, got a pen?
Sure. Whatd'ya need it for?
YOU RUPTURED MY CLAVEN!
Taking notes.
Right. Well, since Chisato is busy, I'll take over from here. Heat, any opinions of your opponent or ideas for your match?
That guy? He's such a failure that he can't even get being emo right. Think about it, he's supposed to cut himself, but he keeps winning matches. That'll stop here though. I figure I'll just perform an encore of Chisato's fine beating. Break his legs, rupture his claven, and see where it goes from there.
Uh, do you even know what a claven is?
No idea. I figure I'll just rip him open and poke around until I find an organ I don't recognize. Then I'll pop it.
HAHAHAHA!!! IS THAT ALL YOU HAVE WOMAN! I HURT MYSELF WORSE THAN THIS EVERY MORNING!
Oh hell...
...he did not just ask her for more...
Awesome. Well, if we're done here, I'm gonna go get her number. Catch you guys later.
Did he just say he's going to get Chisato's number?
Yes. Yes he did.
There walks a braver man then I.
I think it's less 'brave' and more 'sadistic and twisted enough to find that hot'.
Point.
Anyway, getting things back on track, Tidus, Ephraim, any thoughts you'd like to share with us?
Haste, Slow, Evade and Counter. Pretty much a textbook match for me.
Weapon Triangle Advantage, counters, actual muscle tone and ability to take a hit. I'm not really worried here.
Right. So, any angst about having to fight a fellow hero or any of that nonsense out of you two?
Nah, Eph's a pretty cool guy. He'd probably be a pretty good blitzer, too. I might teach him how to play after I win the match.
You, beat me? That'll be the day. Anyway, we're throwing a party back in Renais after the match. Celebrate my title and all.
A party, eh?
Yup. And here's some legitimate invitations for you and your villain pals. Just so you don't have an excuse to crash the party.
I...you...wasn't...DAMMIT!
Haha, nice play, Eph. Hey, how about a party either way, loser foots the bill?
Offering to pay, are you? You're on!
Ah, friendly heroic rivalry. Makes me all nauseous and gassy inside. Anyway, we're running over here folks, so without further ado this is Gilgamesh, signing off. Enjoy the finals kids.
