WEEK 4! Fun! Excitement! PASSION! GUSTO! All these and more! Greetings, signors, and welcome to the latest in the Monstrous Pit! As the season begins to wind down, the fighting begins to heat up, and only the best of the best will remain. Before I go on, here is the usual Results Page for last week.

Also, before I tell you a bit about the matches this week, there's something else: Ranking new RPG's! The latest batch of 3 games need your decision on whether they are included, so by all means Go to the topic and make up your mind!

Under other circumstances, Ghaleon and Indalecio would have gotten along quite well. If, in fact, there was some sort of club for megalomanial, magic-slinging, annoyingly tanky final bosses they would probably be the founding members. However, the press of the Pit calls, and these two must duel for right to make it to the next round. Ghaleon has the durablity edge as usual, with his immunity to Earthquake only adding insult to injury from Chaos Shield. However, he's much, much slower than Indalecio, so he will be hard-pressed to keep up with the Wisman as he flies across the arena, constantly putting up an onslaught that the Magic Emperor will find hard to avoid. But will it be enough? That's up to you, signors!

Unlike the previous match, Heavy's fight between Justin and Delita will be a fully physical brawl. Of course, different techiques will play a part in this battle. Justin might go for the quick KO with his Heaven and Earth Slash, or he might be more conservative and use his regular physicals along with some less costly abilities. Delita could go straight for Holy Explosion and the resulting damage, or he might try and play the odds with the Death-causing Crunch Punch. Either way the two are going to have to be careful not to waste many turns, because neither of them has healing. Will youthful spirit overcome another evildoer? Or will Delita climb to the top of Heavy like so many kingdoms?

Unlike most opponents, Kyle won't be massacred by White Apocolypse. And since his opponent, Elena, only has a few shots of her ultimate damage, she'll have to be very careful about husbanding her resources. Kyle, meanwhile, can easily heal thanks to his Water Rune, but then again, so can Elena...as long as Silent Lake doesn't come into play, that is. Faced with only her staff beatings, Kyle may shrug off any assault from the songstress. This match will take careful planning and strategy for both contestants, and it may well boil down to a few carefully chosen moves. Of course, signors, Kyle may try to sweet-talk his way out of this match, but will Elena fall for it? I admire his PASSION, irregardless.

Rennac may be a rogue, but he certaintly has some luck. Resisting magic is one of his best traits, and so far his path to the Light finals has been nothing but mages. Of course, Keele's not going to go down without a fight! He'll be able to avoid any counters, which should help, and as long as he manages to get off some of his more mighty magic, that should be enough to polish off his opponent. Or will it? Rennac's going to be giving Keele a pounding all the while, and he also has the speed advantage, which could spell doom for the Inferian mage. Can Keele keep ahead of Rennac? Or will the rogue rend Keele asunder?

And on the note of the other Light match, White Wizard versus Mint, one of our own forum members envisoned the fight in a quite humorous way. You can see his depiction Here.

Well, enough talking. To the MONSTROUS PIT!

Or maybe you haven't talked enough? To the Season 34, Week 4 topic!

No, no, signors. Do not fret so. I will be back next week with the Week 5 matches, and in the meantime you have plenty to keep yourself occupied, ay? Until next time, I bid you farewell, and hand you over to the crazy antics of Behind The Scenes!
Happy Easter, and welcome to Behind the Scenes. We have a very special episode for you today.
Are we going to go crucify Chu-Chu again?
Not on camera, more's the pity.
I don't want to sound like the voice of reason here, but is it a good idea to mention that sort of thing around this time of year? Especially with all the complaining about the corruption of religious holidays for financial reasons...
Look, if a bunch of people want to get all uptight because we're using the death of the Saviour, Trufflia, Goddess of Chocolate, as an excuse to inflict physical harm on someone else, well that's just too bad for them.
Fine, just don't blame me if we get sued.
It wouldn't be the first time. Actually, it wouldn't even be the hundredth time.
Our first guests are those dynamos of healing in Light, White Wizard and Mint.
Hello.
Hi!
Both of you have near limitless resources to keep yourselves alive. Are you actually going to try and fight each other?
Yes.
No.
Wait, you're not going to fight? Does that mean I win already?
No, it means that I can likely just stand around and wait for you to collapse from exhaustion before I need to lay a hammer on you.
Don't disrespect me! I'm a champion!
So was Menardi.
True. Now, as interesting as you both are...
Namely, not at all.
...it's time for Middle.
Shh. Be very very quiet, I'm hunting rabbits.
You said it wrong.
By Tria, I know I'm going to regret this but... what are you doing, Edge?
I'm hunting the Easter Bunny, to steal his chocolate eggs.
Silly Eblan, eggs are for kids.
And for girlfriends.
Couldn't you just make her some? Or even buy them?
It's Edge. He could probably find a way to make putting on a tie an exciting and painful adventure.
I'll find you and your eggs... hey...
Pervert! I don't have my egg with me, and if I did, I wouldn't put it there...
Curses! Well then...
Don't go looking at me like that, Edge. I don't look anything like an Easter egg.
I am not sure of that. I can see a bit of a resemblance.
The only way that the skull reminds me of an egg is in the way I want to crack it apart.
How very kinky, Miss Potter.
It is true that you can be a little difficult.
Now that's an understatement. Beatrix, only Lyon stands between you and another shot at an upgrade. You two are surprising similar in your roles as protectors - is there some sort of camaraderie between you despite the battle?
No. She is an opponent, and I will show no mercy.
How very barbaric.
And you are any better?
Ladies, pull back the claws.
Speak for yourself! Woo!
Hey, don't go fighting here. Leave it in the arena.
Kill the little healing girl instead.
Hey!
Settle down.
Make me, freak!
Brave words from a professed alien.
That's it! Die!
Into the fray!
Don't hit him in the back, that's not nice.
Shut up and get bit.
Um, I'm just going to let myself out now.
Get back here and take your punishment like a man, you lech!
Say, where did Chisato go?
**************************Chisato's place******************
So the only reason you put me on as a guest is to have an excuse to leave early?
In case you didn't notice, it worked.
True. Why didn't you ever join me? You would have been far more competent than most of my Wise Men.
You wanted to destroy. I would prefer to conquer. Besides, I don't work under anybody.
Oh? And what of Mr. Nanjo?
Nate? He's a pushover. What's he going to do to me?

Not again... my studio, my precious studio. That's it. No more. YOU'RE ALL FIRED!!!
