The air smells, dear readers - of victory, something a True Defender of Earth recognizes immediately as a stench worth stinking! Finals Week has arrived, and it's up to you, as always, fellow Defenders, to decide the outcomes of a long-awaited season finale!

First, head on over and take a look at Last Week's Matches, and find out if your favourite fighter is in the finals this week! Hurry up, fellow Defenders: I'll wait!

Are you ready for the main event now? If you are, The Arena is your next, and most anticipated, stop:

Many years in the making, Adray Lasbard has trained for this moment. The final bout, the championship match...all riding on a single moment. His skills honed, he's ready to take on any challenger. In the other corner, is Rebecca, a former semi-finalist, ready to claim a new crown for the Fire Emblem pride. Who will take home the crown: the rugged warrior, or the young girl?

Where Light was a serious, close battle, Middle looks to be a little froggy and filled with hilarity. With Cait Sith dancing around while the Imperial captain Ursula attempts to blow a hole in his stuffing with her trusty shotgun. At the least, it'll be amusing: after-all, as Mog has taught us in the past, dancing moogles are pretty damn entertaining. Giant moogles dodging fox-girl bullets? Even better.

While Lloyd has fallen, another swordsman has stepped up to the plate. Here comes Jack van Burace, wild west hero, and all-around good guy. And his enemy - ole' lady Zeal, itching for a good shoot-out at the OK Corral. Sword clashes with magic, and drifting hearts clash with hearts of stone, as Jack works to take down the overconfident dark queen Zeal. Will the heart of a hero prove true?

Finally, Godlike: the supreme division. Tir McDohl vs. Ghaleon. One of the Godlikes with the most prevalent, and yet worst record in the DL, against the Godlike with quite possibly the best. Will the silent hero pull off the greatest upset the DL has ever seen? Only time - and you, dear readers - can decide the outcome!

Also, since it's ranking time, head on over to The Forums and get on ranking!

Actually, Chisato Madison might have more to say about ranking in this week's Behind the Scenes, so you might want to take a look at that first:
Ooohhhh. What should I rank these new people as? I think Marisa would be a little too strong in Middle…
But on the other hand, a victory in Middle, means she’s on the season diamond. And she’s so pretty…
Odin, you’re drooling.
You’re all focusing on the wrong characters. This Valter chap, though…definitely has “High Heavy” written all over him. Champion, definitely.
You people are insane. Seth is the true champ. He’s so handsome, and yet a perfect gentleman and warrior.
What are you people doing?
Pre-ranking debates!
You can debate them all you want once you finish filming. Come on, it’s finals week.
But ranking debates are so fun…
Now!
Right, right. Here it is, dear readers: Behind the Scenes, Finals Week, Season Twenty-One! It’s also a ranking week, with a significant number of new people up for admission to the RPGDL. Make sure to stop by The Rankings Topic and rank Seth for Godlike.
Hey! I thought there was no promoting on this show?
It’s related to the RPGDL, and hence fine.
So I can…
No.
Rats.
Ahem, since I’m apparently the only one not obsessed with rankings at the moment, I feel it’s my duty to actually introduce these guests. So, without further ado…
Innes is far from a worthless Light! He’ll become champion like me if he’s ranked there. Destroy that whole division like I did.
”Did”? I remember you getting slaughtered by Katt last time. And you still haven’t beaten Adray here yet…
Bwhahahahaha! This girl’s got some confidence! I like that!
The point is that ranking Innes Light will be completely and totally a detriment to any other potential Light fighters. They won’t win for the entire season!
Yet you haven’t given any concrete reasons for this theory. He’s a good Light, but he won’t dominate the division. I’d be more worried about this Imoen person in Light…
See? They’re doing the rankings discussion thing too.
You know, we haven’t really discussed much beyond Fire Emblem yet, so why don’t we start up with one of the other rankable games?
I like that idea! So, let’s discuss this Imoen in a bathing suit.
Freudian slip much?
I retract my statement in the light of other people being in the room.
Probably a safe bet. Soooooo…Uncle Adray, once you upgrade to Middle…
Once?! Wait a second!
…which of the new fighters would pose the best challenge?
What are you talking about?! Uncle Adray is invincible!
This prattle is starting to annoy me. Why do we care about people who aren’t even fighting? Focus on some of the worthier people.
Like yourself?
Exactly.
Ok then, no more rankings discussion. We’ll have a woman’s discussion then.
Well, I’d step back then chief.
Looks like this is Odin’s turn.
I suppose I can take this. Olay or Dove?
Neither. No soap is good enough to touch my gorgeous body.
So what do you use then, Zeal-y baby?
The kingdom of Zeal’s secret moisturizer will not be discussed on such a common show.
So wait, you’re saying this show is below you?
Very much so.
Then explain to me why you’re here.
The home must have let her out on good behaviour.
Ghaleon! What an honour it is to meet you in person!
I wasn’t under the impression that royalty could suck up that much.
I think it’s cute. Zeal is in love with something other than power.
Personally, I think it’s disgusting. I mean…do we even know who Magus’s father is?
Thinking on it…that’s a good question. Who is his father, Zeal?
That’s something you’ll never know.
I sooooo hoped you’d say that.
Because we have a huge surprise for you! Come on out!
…mother…
You got the sedatives?
Yep. Just hold her down.
Wha…what are you…doin..g….to…meeeeee…..
We’ll find out who Magus’s father is!
That has to constitute something illegal.
Not here. This show is like Amsterdam: everything is legal.
I’m somewhat disturbed now. I think I’ll go back to debating rankings with someone less insane.
Mmmm…I might have some new competition next season, judging from the current rankings list.
Looks like it on my end too. Always fun to see new blood get in.
Yeah, means new people to torment. I like it.
As do I. But, we are a little tight on time this week, so I think we’ll just end right there…
And before I could mention my new skin care product…
And we’re thankful for that. On behalf of Behind the Scenes, have a great week, and enjoy! We’ll be back next week with more exciting, and disturbing, RPG entertainment for everone!
