Welcome back, dear Defenders of Earth! This week, the RPGDL is proud to bring you Week Three of the widely acclaimed Season Eighteen! Come and celebrate this momentous week, as some of the bravest and truest heroes compete head-to-head for a chance at a championship title! The battle starts now!

First, you'll want to check up on how the other Defenders did last week on the Results Page! Was the frog prince of Simafort able to withstand the cold, sharp axe of Hawkeye the berserker? Did the pair of pokemon in Middle prove to be more than just flora and fauna? Was the brave swordsman Velhart able to bring glory to the name of Arc and his lads? And was Godlike newbie Ted able to take down his veteran opponent? All this, and more, inside!

Now, prepare youself, fellow Defenders, as we prepare to enter Week Three of Season Eighteen!

Light this week is filled with cheering and jeering, as two maligned and disrespected warriors duke it out, boy to cat, flaming mental psynergies to rocky mountain crags. When fire and earth meet, who will be left standing?

In Middle, Gallows Carradine faces off against the flying menace of Middle...a girl on a flying horse? It's a battle fit for an old war movie, as Gallows tries to shoot down the Blue Baron. Will bullets prove effective enough, or will Fiora get the drop on Baskar's best?

Heavy is afire with vengeance, as the fire master Elc prepares to avenge Velhart's defeat last week. Facing off against the Ogre Battle general Debonair, will Elc prove invincible enough to take down such a taciturn foe?

Lastly, the mighty Sephiroth faces off against another Final Fantasy villain in Lady Yunalesca. In the fiercest Godlike bout seen yet this season, will the one-winged angel take down the...well, lady...in a contest fit for the finals?

Don't miss out, dear readers, as your vote decides the future of the season!

And check out The RPG Strategy League as the current arc wraps up, paving the way for a brand new one coming up. What is in store for the future? Only time, and perhaps your constructive criticism and votes, will tell, fellow Defenders!

And make sure you stop by the RPGDL Forums and register an account! It's fast, simple, and opens up a whole new world in RPG community for you! Don't wait, registr...ate.

Once more, I ask all Defenders of Earth to sit back and relax, as Chisato Madison takes us all Behind the Scenes at the RPGDL! Prepare to be entertained:
Morte! Odin! Gilgamesh! Where are they?
I haven’t seen them at all since they went out and bought Fire Emblem Eight.
What?! Fire Emblem Eight is out now? Wonderful! When the last Fire Emblem came out a year ago, the entirety of the RPGDL was mesmerized by that…monstrosity. So the rest of my crew is out playing that game?
Yep.
You’re all I have left then?
Yep.
Why aren’t you playing it too?
Oh, I am. I just have more arms to devote to other activities.
Sounds scandalous to me.
Ugh…great. I can’t have a week without a pervert to interview?
Nope. In fact, you’ve got two this week!
Cagnazzo? How can you be a pervert: you don’t even have a personality!
Always assume that people hide something in their closets so no one else can see them.
Something besides skeletons.
And bad suits.
Wonderful…now I wish Odin, Morte and Gilgamesh were here. Whatever. Let’s get started. Welcome to Behind the Scenes, the show where apparently newly released games are more important than below minimum wage. I’m your host, Chisato Madison, so let’s get started. Ultros?
Right ma’am. Let’s bring out Hawkeye, Slayer of Frogs, and Cray, He-Who-Might-Not-Suck-As-Much-As-Previously-Thought!
Welcome both of…are those Gameboy Advances?
Yeah.
Argh! Why are you playing Fire Emblem Eight when you could be telling me embarrassing things and getting launched?
Because.
It’s strangely addicting.
Despite the breakable weapons.
And simplistic combat system.
It plays very well.
Yes.
Great, mindless automatons.
To be fair, we have those every week.
Eh, you’re right. We’ll just move on. Alright, next up: Gallows and Blastoise. Come out you two.
Mmm? This freak show uses water too?
‘Stoise!
Wonderful. So Gallows, what’s up this week? Any plans for the match?
Give the audience a little eye candy, if you know what I mean.
I think I do: you’re going to fight via interpretive dance?
I was considering it, yes. Depends on how the audience likes it, I guess. It’s been a long time since I’ve last done it, way back in elementary school.
Really? That’s fairly…fascinating. As well as disturbing.
Not as disturbing as Hayden Christensen in the second and third Star Wars movies.
Blast blast!
Looks like the giant turtle liked Mr. Christensen’s acting. He deserves launched.
I agree. Care to do the honours?
Of course.
Blastoooooiiiiiiiiissssssssssseeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!
Seriously, that’s just bad taste, even by pokemon standards.
Agreed.
Heavy.
Welcome…Cagnazzo and Seed? Isn’t Cagnazzo in Middle?
Looks like I just got lucky!
Yep. You get launched before the verbal abuse begins.
Wait, why? What did I do?
I hate turtles.
Well ssssshhhhhuuuuuuuucccccccckkkkkkkkkkkkssssssssss!!!!!!
Well, that went well.
It did, I think. Now, onto Godlike.
Wait! What about me?
Are you going to ramble about either: how much you love Culgan, the new Fire Emblem, or the new Star Wars?
Well…yes. All three actually.
Then you’re done.
But…but…Culgan! Waaaaaahhhhh!!!
Let’s finish this. Come on out Godlike guests Bleu and Celes.
Excuse me, but my name is not Bleu.
Not according to this copy of Breath of Fire I have here. Says you’re Bleu.
My name is not Bleu! It’s Deis! Stupid Capcom of America. Why would they change my name so much? It’s the same number of letters!
Why don’t you like the name Bleu?
Because it’s my middle name.
Really? Deis Bleu…uh…last name?
...Smith.
Not very creative. Now, Celes…where did she go?
Saw her run out with Nana, both with Gameboy Advances in one hand, the other hand clasped together in a loving intertwining of fingers.
…I’m done. Let’s go. Fire Emblem and dating do not go together. Now, I’m off.
Where to?
To pick up my own copy of Fire Emblem Eight, of course.
Great, I broke my cameraman…oh well. From everyone here at Behind the Scenes, we wish you a good day, and great fun with Fire Emblem Eight! Have fun!
