Every Maximillian knight in the Suiko world needs a loyal retainer, and there are few more loyal than Mathias. Always by his lady's side, he is forever ready to do whaever she commands, may it be attending to her when she wakes, dismembering evil-doers in the most brutal ways possible, or disposing the loathsome corpses of said evil-doers in the nearest body of water to keep the streets clean and contribute to marine ecology.

A loyal retainer needs to be fit and strong if he is to properly attend to his duties for the lady, and with his strength, armor, and Cyclone Rune, Mathias is certainly qualified. From beating in the heads of his opponents in the arena for the honor of the Maximillian Knights, to slaying the villainous cretins of the League in the name of his lady, Mathias is always up to the task.
