The resident sourpuss of Duke's Fourteenth Unit of the Harmonian Southern Frontier Defense Force, Gau isn't nearly as freindly or personable as many other kobolds from the world of Suikoden. No, rather than a cheerful disposition or a cute face, Gau has a snarl and a missing eye as his only really distinctive features. A kobold a few words, little is known of him other than that he is extremely loyal to Duke and dislikes Geddoe and his unit almost as much as his boss does.

In battle, Gau relies on a simple and to the point strategy of repeated spear stabbings paired with the power of his Counter Rune to stab someone back when they try to stab him.
