However, despite all the power of the ancient magi, Empyrea was struck with a blow that not even she could recover from - the capture of her only child by the vile beast Gemon. Despite the capture and subsequent death of her child, Empyrea remained strong and assisted the heroic Trodain remnants in their hunt for Rhapthorne. Gathering the last of the seven sage's power, Empyrea took the party to the skies to battle Rhapthorne for the last time. Emerging victorious, having slain Rhapthorne for good, Empyrea returned to a quiet life, soaring the skies with the spirit of her son, lighting the way for heroes to come.

Empyrea fights like any bird would - with her sharp, punishing claws. Her blinding speed allows her to grab hold of any opponent and rend them harshly with her talons. With back-up magical punishment from the strong Zap spell, Empyrea is a true force to be reckoned with in the arena, as her ranking and championship show.
