RPGs have a thing with fat merchants wearing pajamas - Ramus, Taloon, etc. Chongara, unlike these other merchants, is...a wee bit different. Perhaps all those years in the desert have made him a bit schizophrenic after all. Nonetheless, the fat, old, crazy merchant Chongara is a bit more than meets the eye. Intelligent and wise, Chongara's meeting with Arc and his companions was destined fate. It was Chongara's aid that helped Arc grow strong enough to defeat the villains who tried to halt the hero's battle against darkness. Without Chongara's...odd...talents, Arc's victory over The Dark One would not have been possible.

As usual, Chongara is not only an odd character, but an odd fighter as well. The fat merchant is not forced to beat opponents with random abaci or with whatever else he can find, but instead controls something far more powerful: summons. Chongara is Yuna's precursor, a powerful summoner with the ability to call the strongest of warriors to his aid. Fujin and Rajin can call upon a mighty Storm to obliterate anyone in their way, while the odd Hemo-ji can turn anyone in its path into a weak, frail Hemo-ji. With the freakish Kelack monster to keep him healed, few fighters can hope to keep up with the mad summoner Chongara.
