Yep, another Anime RPG stat topic by Meeple. Anyway, Slayers is pretty straight foward. It uses Turn Based similar to SMRPG (as in, moves chosen on the spot, like its pretending to be CTB), and no real other quirks. However, do note there is one oddity:
Levels.

See, the game acts like FF4 Advanced; characters join, then leave, then rejoin later in the game. However, the levels aren't so easily determined. Reason being this:
Copy Lina is the only character you have the entire game. She ended my file at around level 65, hence, I took her at that, easy enough.
Gourry, Zelgadis, Naga, Real Lina, and Amelia all (re)join at level 99, naturally, its impossible to take them as anything else.
Clair has a level cap of 35 (WHY???), as such, she's given that. Note she has no extraneous EXP requirements to reach that.
The other characters all rejoin at whatever level they left at (this makes Connie REALLY FAIL in game), and since they miss at least a good 10-15 Levels that Copy Lina got, it'd be kind of unreasonable to give them the same level she got. With somewhat regular usage of Sylphiel after she rejoined, she ended up around level 55, so I took that as end game level for everyone else.

So in short:
Copy Lina: Level 65
Real Lina, Gourry, Zelgadis, Amelia and Naga: Level 99
Clair: Level 35
Black Fox, Sylphiel, Remy, and Connie: Level 55

Now, for what stats do!
HP: Lose this, you die
MP: Lose this, you can't use Magic
Luck: Seems to effect Evade, Hit rates, and possibly critical hits
Speed: Turn order and such
Power: Base used for physical damage
Defense: Higher this is, less damage from physicals you take. Note that Slayers use a subtraction system, and while I'm not certain how it works, it is rather noticiable in game (Copy Lina practically laughs off all physical damage, while Sylphiel was in risk of being OHKOed by some physical bosses)
Magic Power: Magic version of Power
Magic Defense: Defense, only for magic, works the same way

Oh, since most characters have it, Sleep status lasts permantly until the opponent takes damage of any kind.

All equips but Gourry's weapon are Storebought, and go figure, all but the weapons are universal anyway. Note that females (which is every character but Gourry, Black Fox and Zelgadis) can use the Necklace for 2 more magic defense, but they lose 5 Defense. Also there's the Amulet which raises Magic by 20, but typically felt this was no better other magic boosting accessories, so I didn't allow this.

Copy Lina can opt for the mace, for a rather steep drop in attack and speed, but gain 20 Magic Defense. Typically not worth it, but know its there. She can also use the Spiked Gloves, which destroy her physical damage entirely, lower her speed, but boost Magic Power by 20; this raises Rah Tilt (her best damage) by about 500 points.

Comments: Despite the much lower level, she has BETTER stats than Real Lina in everything but HP O_o. Regardless, good at...well, everything, and with Healing, some minor buffs, and Sleep, she makes for a mean dueler.

Note: Assault is simply 100% Critical hit rate on the physical. Criticals apparently are some damage boost factored in BEFORE defense, so its partially ITD.

Comments: Sucks. She's a Gourry wannabe, in esscence.

Naga's special ability, near as I can tell, lets her cast random spells NOT in her skill list. However, I'm unsure what spells are available exactly, or how this works exactly. Spells I have seen it use:
Demonica Crystal
Ragna Blade
Gaav Flare
Burst Flare
Dug Haut
Dolph Zork

This ability also has a chance to fail completely, and do nothing but miss all targets.

Note: Naga's a strange case. She will 25% of the time completely disobey your orders, and do something of her own will. When she disobeys, the action will always be something offensive oriented (meaning never using Healing, status, or buffs and debuffs.) Note that, however, she acts "intelligently" when she disobeys; she'll always use a spell that is most effective, elementally speaking, or her physical (tends to lean heavily towards the former, but she'll occasionally use her physical instead.) IOWs, if the enemy is weak to Fire, she'll use Flare Arrow or Fireball (equal frequency) when she disobeys, if she were to cast a spell; if the enemy has no weakness, she'll use one of her Non Elemental spells. Due to the nature of her AI, I'm going to take her best damage as 85%, assuming she'll disobey with a physical 5% of the time, and use Elemekia Lance the other 10% of the time (she'll disobey the last 10% using the same spell anyway), so yeah, all that will be factored in Oh, and Naga won't ever try to cast a spell she can't afford, IOWs, at 0 MP, she'll only disobey a physical by using another physical

Comments: The fact that she was meant to be an early game Jeigan killed her skillset as she doesn't learn any high level spells (She originally joins at level 20 early in the game, and leaves before you get that high), so yeah. She has decent stats overall, at least, which includes Gamebest Speed, and some healing, but pretty dissappointing for a level 99 character.

Clair:

Note: Clair's actions are COMPLETELY randomized, even under "My Order"; she'll randomly use Physical, Defend of Paralysis, regardless of what she's told.. She tends to do Defend about 70% of the time, Physicals 25%, and Paralysis 5%

Comments: Seeing as she can't level beyond 35 (-_-), she's condemned to fail. The paralysis WOULD be nice if, you know, she actually USED it. Her AI kills her though.

Comments: For a character whose so good in game, due to being the only one with MT support, Sylphiel really does not translate at all. She has full healing, and some buffs and status, but no offense, and horrid durability.

Black Fox:

Comments: Well, he has good speed and decent instant death! And good HP to offset the low defenses! The damage though kind of sucks. Yet another decent character who doesn't translate well in the DL (in game, bosses tend to be insane magic tanks, so Gourry's good physical stands out, where as it fails in the DL)

Comments: FINALLY another decent dueller. Good stats all around, with healing and some nice damage. The random use of Iron Fists of Justice does hurt her some, granted.

Zelgadis can cast spells at twice the MP Cost, doubling their damage (does not apply to healing or stat buffs), however, he can't do this during boss fights. Whether you allow this or not is up to you.

Comments: Better than Amelia at nearly everything...except healing, where he lacks the full healing spell. Nonetheless, pretty damn solid, especially if you allow his Double Damage for Double MP cost spell. Decent tank with good speed and damage, etc.

At the start of any battle, Lina will immediately use "Surprise Attack" which is her casting any of the damage spells listed above, for 0 MP cost, before any other actions. This does NOT count as Lina's own action (basically, it acts like FFX First Strike, except you have no control over what she does)

Comments: Worse stats than Copy Lina, but better damage, HP, and Surprise Attack for quick immediate bitchslap. Well rounded much like Copy Lina, so yeah, probably about as good.
