It's that time!

This season go ahead and do up to 6 noms per division (Godlike, Heavy, Middle, Light). Please keep the number of noms per division even. The ranked list hasn't changed since last season, and is found here: http://www.rpgdl.com/forums/index.php/topic,6015.0.html

Gau (Final Fantasy VI), Raynie (Radiant Historia), and Yushis (Ogre Battle: March of the Black Queen) has upgrade bids and need not be nommed.

1. Overwhelming damage, great HP, massive elemental weakness
2. More unique tanking type
3. An old DL classic we don't see as much today
4. My favorite type of High Godlike: One with a nice exploitable flaw
5. Nasty draining game
6. You better kill him in a hit (or just be absurdly durable)

Heavy

1. Actually initially put her in Middle, until I realize she's already won Middle (and that my estimation of her has gone up a little).
2. Fun and dangerous spoiler
3. Also a solid all arounder (just his healing is off draining weapons)
4. Always a fun choice.
5. Can remove him if too much, but he's always been riding the border and struggling in Godlike. Can he gain traction here?
6. Always a weird type of strategy. Fears the day I ever try to push a more equal EXP strat on SoA

5. Pretty cool. Borderlinish, but still that speed and durability and failing against healing may still make this a fair nom.
6. I...have at least said that Aeris should be better regarded, but my respect for Seal Evil just got blown up. That said, Aeris has some nasty L3s for Light that still make her interesting.

Would have probably nommed like 6 S2ers without the limit.

The borders are generally a lot more fluid in CKDL, but most stat topics have some assessments on duellers' general worth. Speaking of which, Cecil was historically ranked as Heavy, but he's actually a Middle, since we're talking rankings. Same caveat as Lightning applies, regardless.

It would be pretty cool to try to document it again, yeah. It's a bit unreasonable to expect people to keep track of the divisions of literally hundreds of characters themselves.

This thread at least features some opinions on many characters who have been "ranked" post-main site, such as FF13, Bravely Default, Fire Emblem Awakening, Mana Khemia 2, Soul Nomad, etc.; it isn't a terrible reference though it would be nice if we could put together something better.

For the most part, it's just a combo of DL lines+use your best judgement. For example, Tengaar is a DL Middle. Before I made the list, I was going to nom her as Middle. But she is a CKDL champ, so she could also be Heavy (so I put her there); however, she's still a valid Middle nom as well.

Halley may have been initially ranked Heavy in the DL, but he downgraded for a reason. He's gonna get trounced in Heavy, SF. Setzer also might be more suited for Light, but YMMV.

Halley failing horribly is fine by me, it was a totally rando pick to add some spice... would rather remove him, he's rather good in Middle. Went with Keith instead (ugh, lots o' status spamming there...).

Setzer's a pretty crappy Middle but Light is a strange place, so I think I'll keep that one for now. Good idea for a future L/M Proving Grounds, though.
