Poor Kahn... he can't catch a break this week... his Season 51 Victory was overturned in the arena that really matters, and now...

So, here's your FIT Season 52 Champions:

But it's not over yet... Two DL Champs, a DL Finalist, and a rat-guy, all with Playoff Tenure in FIT 51, have raised objections regarding the worthiness of these champions. Basically, these allege that if they were in the tourney, things would've been different. All four of these had the nominations to be eligible. (Daos, FIT 51 Heavy Champ, by contrast, only had 2 Nominations. And yes, I know Slade didn't get out of Week 3. He did make it the farthest of the FIT 51 Vets in Middle 52, though.)

So... we're going to have it out. Both Team and each individual level.

(Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think I see a gender-based coincidence here.)

And that's not all. Noa has proven herself twice worthy of FIT Middle Champion. (Garet actually Champed Light in the DL but was found unworthy of promotion last time. Perhaps he'll get lucky this season.) So I'll throw her against the 5 Heavies that couldn't win a match over the past 2 Seasons. (Jean, who was 0-5 in Season 51, redeemed herself with a 3-2 Season 52.)

This has no "official" ramifications, but if she can get a net "tying" record or better, then I think she would have a reasonable chance of promotion.

Oh, and between DLCon next week (which I won't attend; too few funds too far away) and my moving back to college next month, there will be no FIT Season 53. However, since the next season starts so near beginning of the term, FIT 54 is a strong possibility. FIT 55, not so much.

FIT 52 Champs vs FIT 51-DL 52 Vets
Piastol vs Zophar - She can't Eternum... And she can't kill him before he gets a turn. I'm guessing she's just outclassed in terms of durability here.
Lyon vs Zero - Might OHKO.
Noa vs Slade - Noa vs. things that aren't Charm resistant.
Shabon vs Garet - Faster status, but... she may not be able to kill him before he wakes up and statuses her back? He's pretty tanky.

Upgrade Practice Trial:
Noa vs Tiamat - Can't remember if Tiamat is actually 100% status-immune. But if there's a weakspot in his immunity and FF1 doesn't have Charm (I didn't -think- it did...), Noa might win this one, too.
Noa vs Carlie - Unless Carlie's MDEF reduces status percentage significantly?

Thinking on it... yeah, the 25% extra damage helps, but it does wake Garet up without killing him. Funeral Wind should be slower than Garet, and unless Shabon can fiddle around with Healing Wind to get a double, Garet probably gets a turn.

She should be able to fiddle with Healing Wind to double, although that may be questionable, since Funeral Wind at B+ is slow. And keep in mind that Shabon getting a charge of FW in and out of itself isn't very reliable (terrible Magic growth, requires some RNG leniency for her to get that charge at L55 - a little bit even with higher levels, truth be told). And she's obviously not one-turning. WoS+FW has the issue of one of two statuses quite possibly missing, and FW -will- wake Garet up. Shabon won't be able to play this twice to boot.

(Yes, I can argue against duellers I like too.)
