Even with his legendary longevity, Ghaleon will be hard-pressed to survive Zophar's powerful attack for more than two or three rounds. At least, that would be the case if he didn't have Chaos Shield. With Chaos Shield taking the hit, Zophar's inability to use more than one attack a round will leave him unable to hurt the Magic Emperor. Meanwhile, Ghaleon's dual-casting will allow to eventually win a war of attrition. Even better, Zophar's Fate Storm has a long charge time, so Ghaleon might not even have to take even one of the powerful attacks. What this means is that Ghaleon will show once and for all just who is the greatest villain the world of Lunar has ever seen.

Zophar, the great destroyer of the Blue Star and later Lunar, comes face to face with his best and brightest servant in this match. And while it's unlikely the dark god still possesses the hold on the Magic Emperor needed to end his life at will, that doesn't mean Zophar doesn't still hold a number of key advantages over his foe. Zophar's superior speed, dispel attack to cancel Chaos Shield, and always utterly devastating Fate Storm are all big factors in this match; all Zophar has to do is watch the timing on his long-charging big attack, and victory will be easily within his monstrous grasp...

Yay! It's Choko time again! Having dispatched another playmate who couldn't keep up with her, Choko is now going to play with Albedo. He'll have a rough time keeping up with her super-powerful magic or her concrete-shattering kick, and surely his drain magic won't keep Choko from being happy and cheery - at least until Albedo is only seeing the blue sky from his place buried in the ground.

Albedo's beaten a sorceress and a contact... and it looks like he's been well rewarded, since now he's fighting his favourite opponent: a little girl! However, this little girl isn't going to be easily spanked, which means Albedo's going to have to pull out all the stops here. His speed easily matches Choko's before haste, and after it, he'll hold the advantage. With Fallen Angel heading up his offenses, he just might be able to outslug her. Will Alpedo live up to his name and spank this little girl back to daddy?

Last week Mute gave Altima an easy win against the MP-reliant Beatrix. However, Beatrix at least had a physical that looked respectable compared to the likes of Shock. Or at least, respectable when you consider the huge gap between Triple Sword and Hiro's physical. Either way, Altima is going into this week with an effective bye and a free trip to the finals

V

S

Hiro's in a bit of a pickle this week. While he has bested a scientist and a flame champion in the preceeding weeks, the FFT monstrosity known as Altima might pose a greater threat than the other two combined! Still, he has his powerful sword and boomerang techniques to draw on, including the famed Triple Sword. If he can strike hard and fast enough, he might be able to take down the ugly angel before she can apply her status attacks. If not, he'll have to pray that Lady Luck is on his side.

The RPGDL's ultimate superhero faces an opponent without the honor or courage to stand up and fight like a man. Shadow relies on ninja tricks to prevent his much stronger opponent from blasting him in a few hits with the legendary Re-Al-Phoneix. Not all is lost for Red, however. With his shining blade, Alkaiser will be able to see things for how they are, blasting Shadow. No matter how many tricks the ninja has, nothing can stand up to the might of a real hero.

Shadow finds himself in a much easier battle this time than his last round. After defeating Alys of the Eight Strokes, Red will seem like a breeze. It doesn't matter that Re-Al-Phoenix is extremely strong, or that Alkaiser laughs at all attacks thrown at him, since none of that helps when you can't hit your opponent. Shadow's Invis Edge slaughters any purely physical fighter by making him impossible to hit, and a purely physical fighter is just what Red happens to be. And Shadow's getting that Invis Edge up is something that is very likly to happen, given Red's pre-Alkaiser damage and need of a turn to tranform.

Philia's in for a easy fight this week... though some beg to differ. Certainly, she has to watch out for Jibril's rather frightening ability to consume his opponents, but in the end that hardly matters. Why? Because unlike Jibril's former opponents, Philia can actually move away from Jibril, making this hardly a issue... she can simply pound him from a distance with her magic. Of course, she has to make sure not to get caught charging a spell with him too close...

Mr. Gourmand has feasted on both Moogle and epic hero, and now he prepares to dine on a new person this week! As usual, Jibril's battle tactics will be simple as ever, incorporating such strategies as "walk up to opponent" and "open mouth". Of course, Philia won't be very likely to go along with Jibril's simple plan, and she'll do all she can to keep from becoming his latest meal. Jibril's going to have to do his best to dodge her magical onslaught, but once he gets a chance, all he has to do is take one big bite for wiseman, and one giant gulp towards the Middle finals.

After facing and defeating, two young mages from the Algol System, Strago finally faces one of the combatants from that place that manages to be older than he is. Even worse, Demi is resistant to his killer status attacks. However, this feisty old man has never been one to give up, and he still has lethal magical attacks in Clean Sweep and Grand Train, as well as Rippler to help remove whatever defences she may use. Will Strago manage to complete the PS4 Triple Crown, or has his luck finally run out?

V

S

Demi's out to avenge her two fellow PS4 middles, and there's a reason she's feeling confident. Her androidhood provides immunity to Strago's status attacks, and the Barrier skill (with the speed to use it) coupled with her high HP means Strago's damage won't be much at all. Plenty of healing rounds her off nicely. With no real way to lose, Demi should easily cruise into the Middle finals with a few shots of Phononmezer.

So far, Light's highest naturally ranked fighter has proven exactly why he's just that. Having bested a mage and a fighter in the previous weeks, he now moves on to fight a hybrid between the two. chaos' high magical defense will keep Futch's Lightning Rune from posing a problem, and his overall good stats and minimal healing will keep him in the battle much longer than his opponent. Fighting an uphill battle with the odds against him, Futch will have no choice but to submit to the mightier yaoi-boy in this match.

V

S

Futch faces a mage-killer this week. This is a good thing for him, since despite his only middling strength, and the powerful Lightning Rune that he picked up for his stint in Suikoden 3, Futch is still a fighter at heart. With the greatsword Murasame he inherited from his friend Humphrey, Futch can strike two hard slashes with each attack, and if he presses his offence he should be able to overwhelm chaos in a close-fought match.

This week, the Crimson Noble is in for a out-and-out fight. Unfortunately, that's only on Elly's end, as she constantly has to pound Marivel with the same below-average attacks. Marivel can simply use StatusLok to stop Elly's Sleep effects, finishing the Solarisian off with her instant death attack, Guillotine. And due to her opponent's average speed, she should have no problem getting the first strike which is all she needs.

V

S

Solarian officer Elly van Houten is currently thanking her lucky stars that she excels in that statistic so often associated with female leads: magic defence. Her prowess in that stat will reduce Marivel's various status magic to only mild dangers, while the Crimson Noble's own low defence and HP means that she will suffer severe pain at the hand of Elly's Rod. Toss in the fact that Marivel needs to open with StatusLok lest she fall prey to her opponent's added sleep status, and Elly is looking like a good bet to advance to the finals this week.

Ramza climbed off Boco and shyly knocked on the door.
"Who is it?"
"Ramza Beoulve. I'm here to see miss Valeria," he said shyly.
"Alright. Come on in."

"Grrr..." (What's that boy planning with Anastasia?) mumled Lucied.
